What is Trym's Grow Log
Trym's Grow Log is a powerful tool that enables growers to catalogue and review photos, notes, measurements and condition thresholds by location across their facility in a live stream setting for all grow log events. Leave a comment or give it props on grow log events to build engagement with your team. Work can be fun too:)
These data points can be actioned in the mobile platforms and are pushed to the Grow Log Module and Location Dashboards in Trym Explore where they can be utilized to assist in Precision Agriculture and Facility Management to enhance the performance of your grow operation.
How to Utilize Grow Log from Trym's Mobile App
How to Create a Note in the Grow Log
Create a Grow Log Note from the Grow Log tab
Open the Trym Mobile App
The App will default open on the Grow Log tab
If you are in another tab, navigate to the Grow Log tab
Select the + button in the lower right and press "Create Note"
Fill out the required fields and press the green "Create Note" button

Navigate to Rooms in the left-hand side menu
Tap on the room in which you are creating a note
Choose Grow Log in the top menu
Tap the green + button in the lower right and select "Create Note"
Fill out the required fields and press the green "Create Note" button

Open the Trym Mobile App
Go to the Tag Scanner menu option
Scan your tag with your Camera or Zebra Barcode Scanner
Choose Note option in the top menu
Fill out the required fields and press the green button "Create Note"
Create a Grow Log Conditions Note in Trym Explore from a Location
Log into Trym Explore
Click on your Facilities Tab
Select the location you want to leave a conditions grow log note in
Click on the Conditions Graph where you want to capture a point in time
Complete the required fields for the Grow Log Conditions Note
You must have an active sensor integration to leave a conditions grow log note.
How to Record a Measurement

If you need to add a measurement to the Grow Log outside of a task, like if you're doing your morning walkthrough and you spot some pest pressure, or you want to note the plant health, or PAR, amongst any number of examples.s
Tap the ☰ menu in the top left corner and tap Rooms
Tap on the room in which you are creating a note
Choose Grow Log in the top menu
Tap the Green + button in the lower right
Select "Create Measurement"
Enter a measurement type and choose a zone

How to Record Pruning Waste via Waste Log
To report the pruning waste of tagged plants against a location you can utilize Trym's Waste Log by following the instructions below or navigate to our Pruning Waste support article for more context:
Report Pruning Waste on Mobile
Use the Rooms menu to navigate to the room you're reporting waste in
Tap Grow Log option and then the + button on the bottom right of your app
Choose "Record Tagged Plant Waste"
Enter the waste log details in the various fields

Click "Report Waste to Trym" when satisfied with the waste details
Navigating Grow Log Notifications
Grow Log notifications can be bring further ease of communication to your teams needs. When you comment, reply to a comment, give props, leave a note or a measurement, a notifications will be sent to your teams devices so everyone can stay in the loop.
The notifications can be managed per user via Team Member profiles in the Trym Explore web app and in the settings of the Trym Grow mobile app per user. You can enable or disable notifications per notification type via the visual instructions below.
Explore Web Platform:
Login --> Admin Tab --> Team Members --> Select Employee --> Choose Edit --> Toggle to Enable/Disable per notification type
Trym Mobile App:
Login --> Navigate to Settings --> Click to Enable/Disable per notification type
Best Practices/Troubleshooting Grow Log
Where can I view Grow Log across all platforms
The Grow Log Module in Trym Explore
The Grow Log Module is your default screen when logging into Trym explore so you can access it right away. If you are in another window from a previous session you can select the Grow Log Module third from the top as shown below to browse your grow log notes, photos, measurements or threshold alerts in a chronological timeline for all locations.
The Grow Log in a Location Dashboard
Head to the Facilities Module using the menu on the left of the screen
Click on the room you'd like to view from the list of locations
In the location dashboard, click on the side arrow on the right hand side of the Conditions graph
Adjust the timeframe using the 24 hour, 36 hour, 3 day, 7 day, or 30 day categories and the date range at the top of the table to move the timeline of the Grow Log
If you have conditions data integrated into Trym and at least one Grow Log entry, observe that moving your cursor over a Grow Log entry will make a vertical line appear on the conditions graph to show you when, in line with the environmental data, an entry was made.
How can I add measurement to Grow log through a task

If you're on your Trym Mobile Grow App and are going through your daily tasks and need to document a conditions measurement to your grow log follow these instructions below.
Tap the ☰ menu in the top left corner and tap Tasks
We show whatever tasks are assigned to the logged in user by default but they can use the Day, Month menus to navigate days, the My Tasks, All Tasks icons to find tasks assigned to different users, and if you manage multiple facilities use the Facilities selector in the top right corner to switch between facilities
Tap the measurement task you'd like to start
Review the task instruction and press the Start Task button to begin the task when ready
Ensure you record the measurement, it is a completion requirement for measurement tasks
When ready, complete the task. Trym will display the recorded time and you can edit it if needed
