How to Repair Package Tag Errors
If package tags are used in METRC and Trym has not had the ability to sync those changes back from METRC (see our sync logic article for more info) you can now replace the tag on a compliance event if an out of data package tag was applied in Trym. The error in your compliance tab will prompt you to change the tag by clicking on the wrench icon and apply the new tag ID.
In your Compliance Tab, click the Wrench Icon on the Errored Event to Repair
Choose Retry first* or choose Replace Tag if the retry doesn't work.
Input New Tag ID (Check next available package tag in METRC if needed)
Press Save and review the changes on the Compliance Event and Inventory Package list in Trym once the event returns to pending and show tag changes.
Important Notes:
* Verify in METRC by searching for the tag number in active packages, if its is listed there as reported by Trym, choose Retry. If the tag is not listed as an active package, choose the Repair option and enter new Tag ID.
To access the compliance tab a user role of Manager - Compliance or Admin (Metrc) is required. Review the User Roles article here.

How to find your METRC API Key
Users who need to report compliance events from Trym to METRC will need to associate a METRC API key to their Trym user account.
Generating a new API Key will sever your API integration with other integrators and is not necessary when integrating with a new system, such as Trym.
The same API can be shared with many integrators. Proceed with purpose if you have active integrations.
Instructions
Log into your METRC account
No need to select a license, your API key is specific to your user account and not to a facility
Click on the down arrow next to your email address in the top right corner
Click API Keys
If you have previously generated an API key, wait a few seconds for it to appear or generate a key if you have not done so previously.
Triple click the API key to select it, then right-click on the key and copy it
How to Update Your METRC API Key in Trym
If you are a new METRC admin in Trym or had to generate a new METRC API key, you'll need to add the new key to your Trym user account.

Using the left hand menu, navigate to the Admin module
Click on the Team tab if you're not already in it
Identify the user from the list and click Edit on the ellipse menu (...) on the right hand side of the user profile
The API Key field is located at the bottom of the window and will appear only for the user role Admin (METRC)
Update the METRC Key field with your new API Key
Save changes when done
You may need to log out and log back in to see the changes
Troubleshooting your Authorization Error
-
If updating your METRC API key is not working to resolve the Authorization Error we may need to check the METRC permissions of the user reporting the compliance events from Trym to make sure they have necessary permission to report the compliance action that was errored.
You may need to confirm with a team member you has Admin permissions in METRC if you cannot access your employee account in METRC under the Admin Tab --> Employees. Please Make sure all relevant plant, package and harvest permissions are checked off as shown in the example below to be able to report all compliance event types to METRC from Trym.
