This articles describes the user roles and their permissions as they relate to Trym.

Role Types

Super User Roles

Admin (Metrc)

To keep it brief, the Admin (Metrc) role can do everything. It is Trym's equivalent of a super-user.

  • Access to Mobile App

  • Access to Web App

  • Can create, edit, delete, and schedule recurring tasks

  • Can create, edit, and delete Workflows

  • Can create, edit, and delete Grow Log entries

  • Can manage plants across all phases; Immature, Vegetative, Flowering, and Harvest

  • Can manage harvest Planner (Beta)

  • Can view inventory

  • Can view harvest analytics

  • Can view room data and create & edit room zones

  • Can report compliance events to METRC

  • Can manage METRC tags

  • Can manage Trym users and reset passwords

  • Can configure task types, items, and strains

  • Can configure sensor integrations

  • Can generate a waste report from the waste tab

  • Receives Room Thresholds Alerts

Admin (Non-Metrc)

The Admin (Non-Metrc) role can do almost everything, the only 2 things it cannot do is view or report compliance events to METRC, and manage METRC tags. Perfect for facilities that are not integrated with a METRC account, or for employees that do not need to manage the METRC portion of things.

Manager Roles

Manager - Compliance

The Manager - Compliance role can do everything related to managing the day-to-day operations in Trym, from interacting with plants across all growth phases to reverting and reporting compliance events, but they cannot manage users or configure integrations.

  • Can create, edit, delete, and schedule recurring tasks

  • Can create, edit, and delete Workflows

  • Can create, edit, and delete Grow Log entries

  • Can manage plants across all phases; Immature, Vegetative, Flowering, and Harvest

  • Can manage harvest Planner (Beta)

  • Can view inventory

  • Can view harvest analytics

  • Can view room data and create zones in a location

  • Can report compliance events to METRC

  • Can manage METRC tags

  • Can generate a waste report from the waste tab

  • Can Create, Update and Delete Room Thresholds

  • Receives Room Thresholds Alerts

Manager+

The Manager + role can manage the day-to-day operations in Trym across all phases of the plants in addition to configuring tasking and sensor integrations, but they can only view compliance events, not report them to Metrc.

  • Can view room data and create & edit room zones

  • Can View Compliance Events, but cannot report them to Metrc

  • Can Create, Update and Delete Room Thresholds

  • Receives Room Thresholds Alerts

Manager

The Manager role can manage the day-to-day operations in Trym, but cannot manage compliance events or configure Trym.

  • Access to Web App

  • Can create, edit, delete, and schedule recurring tasks

  • Can create, edit, and delete Workflows

  • Can create, edit, and delete Grow Log entries

  • Can manage plants across all phases; Immature, Vegetative, Flowering, and Harvest

  • Can manage harvest Planner (Beta)

  • Can view inventory

  • Can view harvest analytics

  • Can Create, Update and Delete Room Thresholds

  • Receives Room Thresholds Alerts

Employee Roles

Employee+

The Employee+ role can only access the iOS and Android apps. They can complete, edit, or delete tasks, they can also edit and add to the Grow Log.

  • Access to Mobile App

  • Can view room data (sensor data, and plant information)

  • Can create, edit, delete, tasks (cannot create recurring tasks)

  • Can create, edit, and delete Grow Log entries

Employee

The Employee role can only access the iOS and Android apps. They can complete tasks and they can also add to the Grow Log but they cannot edit or delete any tasks or Grow Log entries.

  • Access to Mobile App

  • Can view room data (sensor data, and plant information)

  • Can create and complete tasks (cannot create recurring tasks)

  • Can create Grow Log entries

Other Roles

Read-Only

The Read-Only role is perfect for folks who want to see but not touch. No actions can be taken with this role, but you can see everything.

  • Access to Mobile App

  • Access to Web App

  • Can view tasks

  • Can view Workflows

  • Can view Grow Log entries

  • Can view plants across all phases; Immature, Vegetative, Flowering, and Harvest

  • Can view harvest Planner (Beta)

  • Can view inventory

  • Can view harvest analytics

  • Can view room data and create & view room zones

  • Can view compliance events

  • Can view METRC tags info
