This article describes how to request access to TrolMaster's API, the first step to integrating your environmental data with Trym.

Prerequisites

• Must have active TrolMaster devices, connected to the Internet

• Must know the TrolMaster account email address

Instructions

1. If you haven't already, gather your TrolMaster controller serial numbers / QR Codes

   3. We recommend keeping these in a spreadsheet for your own reference, e.g.

      

2. In a new tab, open the TrolMaster API Request Form.

   1. Please carefully read the service agreement here. You are requesting service from a third-party.

   2. NOTE: You must use your TrolMaster account email address when requesting the API access. Using two different email addresses will result in an incomplete API integration and will not work as intended.

   3. If you manage multiple licenses / facilities. We advise that you have one TrolMaster account and one TrolMaster API key per facility to make it easier to manage your integrations and sensors.

3. Within a few days, you should receive an email from TrolMaster with access to the developer portal. The email will contain a temporary password to the portal. Log into the portal.

   2. Then, using the My Dashboard menu in the top right, head to your API Key and copy it.

   

   1. If you're keeping a spreadsheet with your TrolMaster devices, consider keeping the API key in the same spreadsheet for easier access in the future.
