Why is it important to Merge Harvests?
For compliance and organizational purposes we recommend merging harvests of the same strain before reporting to METRC as often we see users harvest across multiple strain in a single room.
If you don't harvest each strain all in one pass with Touchless Harvesting you can end up with multiple harvest batches of the same strain from that single harvest date. Merging will allow you to report all the plants of one strain as one harvest batch to METRC.
What should I name my merged harvest?
When you Merge harvests in Trym you will need to select a name for the new harvest. We recommend using the Cultivar and the date, (Ex, Zoap - 20232402) as that would be the name of the first harvest batch you did on that date and of that cultivar. That is how Trym auto-populates the name of harvest batches when you create a harvest. Ultimately you can name the harvest anything that is not a duplicate of a previous harvest name.
What if I did not merge harvests prior to reporting to METRC?
Harvest Merging must be done prior to reporting to METRC. If harvest batches are not merged prior to reporting to METRC, we recommend either creating a single package of your wet weight from the multiple harvests in METRC or you can consult with our support team about discounting the harvests in METRC and having the harvests uploaded to Trym so they can be merged prior to reporting.
NOTE:
You must contact Trym Support prior to discounting the harvests in METRC.
Harvest names cannot be reported to METRC twice even if the original harvest has been discontinued in METRC. A new Harvest Name is required.
If you choose to create a total package of wet weight in METRC, be advised that reporting harvest waste and a dry package for testing are something to consider if that is the route you choose.
