Best Practices/Troubleshooting
Prerequisites
Must have an active harvest
Role in Trym must be Manager Plus or any type of Admin.
Must have the Item you're going to package in Trym —> Configuration —> Items. Review this article to add an item if necessary.
Must have METRC tags uploaded into Trym. Follow the instructions here to upload METRC tags to Trym if you haven't uploaded tags recently, or ever.
Required Fields
-
Package ID (Metrc)
The next available tag will be displayed here. If it isn't, then you need to add your tags from METRC. You may scan another tag here or edit the tag number to match the actual tag you're using if it differs from the one displayed in this field.
-
Packaged Date
The date that the packaged was created. Can be backdated if need.
-
Item
The item you are packaging. For example, if you have 4500g of bulk, untrimmed flower from a harvest of the hottest new cultivar, Purple Monkey Dishwasher, you'd need to create an item that is named something like 'Purple Monkey Dishwasher - Bulk Untrimmed Flower' with the item category 'Flower'. If you don't see the item you're looking for, you need to create a new item by following the instructions in this article.
-
Packaged Weight (Grams)
The weight of the package. The unit of measure is dependent on the unit of measure you assigned when you created the item. We suggest you stick to Grams for everything as it creates consistency in your business and the industry.
