What are Form Defaults in Trym
To save time on data entry and lower overall clicks in Trym, we created Form Defaults. This allows an Admin user to pre-set any field in Trym to a desired data point. Thus allowing an employee user on the mobile app to skip extra data entry. No longer will you have to enter a batch type, harvest location or waste reason per event, now each form can be automated to the preset form default. Set it and forget it!

Best Practices/Troubleshooting Form Defaults in Trym
No Form Defaults have been entered
If no defaults have been entered options will be selected manually while the desired plant action is being taken. Consult with your onsite Admin to configure "Form Defaults" to save time while using Trym
No Drop Down option in Form Defaults Configuration
If there is no drop down option available in a From Default category you will be required to enter the data entry manually. Compliance integrated facilities will have more drop down options has the state specific from defaults will be synced into Trym to select from.
Overwrite From Defaults in the Mobile App
A user in the Mobile App can overwrite a preset From Default if the form in question requires a different reply. For example, if the preset Form Default for a Waste Reason is "Failure to Thrive", but you are destroying plants due to another reason like the plant from seed is not female you can change the Waste Reason to "Male Plants" in the Plant Destroy by selecting the Pencil Icon next to the specific form reply you want to adjust and create the alternative option. The newly entered option will stay with those plant for the remainder of those actions, so to switch back to a form default you will need to create a new destroy event.
