What is Trym Chat?
Trym’s chat feature was built to create closer communication within your grow.
Interact with team members via direct messages, group chats and channels that can be customized to locations and teams.
To start using Trym Chat, open Trym Grow App and select the feature from the pull down menu on the top left of the app by clicking the chat bubble icon.
Recommendation: Enable push notifications on your mobile device to receive alerts from Trym Chat messaging in real time.

Send a message to another user or multiple users by selecting the plus button "+" on the bottom right of your screen.
Select the Create Message option to start an individual chat or group chat by choosing the member or members you want to add via the Add Group Member button, then choose from the alphabetical list of users below.
Press the check mark in the upper right hand side of your screen when you have chosen your recipients and then select the Create Chat button.
Now that you have created your chat room, enter your message in the text field at the bottom of your screen and press the arrow adjacent to send your message.
How to edit a group
To edit a group, select the group you would like to edit and press the circular icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
From there you will see a list of the users in the chat. You can then remove users by selecting the "x" next to their name or add a member by selecting the Add Group Member button located below the list of current members.
Once you have edited the chat group to your liking. Press the “Edit Chat” function at the bottom of your screen to save your changes.
How to create and mute a channel
To create a channel, start by selecting the plus button like you did to send a message to another user or group message, but select the Create Channel option. This will give you the ability to name the channel, where as direct messages and group messages cannot be named.
To mute a channel, select the channel by pressing the circle of users in the upper right corner of the screen. Then press the bell icon. This will put a slash through the bell to show that the channel is muted and notifications won't be active.
How to react, reply, edit, pin, and delete a message
React, reply, thread reply, edit message, pin conversation or delete message by holding down on the message you would like to action on.
Once those options appear in the pop up menu, select your desired action.
Reactions can be a good way to confirm a message or add another emoji like reaction to the original message.
The difference between “reply" and "thread reply" is that “reply" will show the original message and your reply coupled lower in the group message sequence, while “thread reply” will create a sub-chat with yourself and the user you replied to in a thread.
Edit message allows you to revise your original message.
Pin conversation allows you to store important notes to a collection.
Delete message allows you to remove your original message.
Note: To view pinned messages, select the pin icon in the upper right of your screen next to the channel's circular user icon. This will list the pinned messages in that channel for reference.
How to add attachments
Add attachments, like photos or files while in a channel, group or singular chat by selecting the paper clip icon in the lower left of the chat.
Once the paper clip is selected, you can choose the landscape icon on the far left and choose from your photo gallery or the camera icon on the far right to take a picture in real time.
To upload a file you can select the file folder located in-between the landscape and camera icon.
You can also add a GIF via Giphy to your chat by selecting the lightening bolt icon at the bottom left of your screen and choosing Giphy under instant commands.
Type a theme you would like to post in the text field. That will populate a GIF selector in the chat that allows you to shuffle through different GIFs, cancel your current GIF, and send a GIF that works for your intended response.
How to check unread messages or check your mentions
To check your unread messages, click the text bubbles in the upper right hand corner of the app.
To check your mentions (messages that you are tagged in), click the @ button in the upper right hand corner of the app.
