Best Practices for Plant Destroys in Trym
Which Platform to Destroy Plants in for all Facility Types
METRC Integrated Facilties
For compliance integrated facilities, METRC requires all individually tagged plants to be destroyed with waste information that we conveniently attach to the destroy events to give the opportunity to input all destruction data in one place for ease of use.
Non-Metrc Facility
In Non-Metrc facilities, destroying plants to maintain your plant inventory is only a few clicks away and actually shares a similar path as immature plant destruction in compliance integrated facilities as we allow you to select the number of plants you want to destroy from a plant batch with a few required fields.
Trym Mobile Grow App:
All user roles can access the mobile app to destroy plants. This makes it the go to option for destroying plants across all growth phases. It is especially useful for METRC integrated facilities to destroy individually tagged plants using the Touchless Harvest scale set up since METRC requires individual plant waste weight, reason, and notes.
Explore Web App (Explore.Trym.io)
Managers and Admin user roles can easily destroy plants across all plant growth phases from the Explore web app. If you have determined waste weights you can enter them manually in the destroy event along with the other required to fields to skip using the use of the Touchless Harvesting scale setup.
Troubleshooting Plant Destruction
Destroyed Plants on Trym Mobile, but I don't see that reflected in Trym Explore
When scanning plant tags via the tag scanner in the Trym Mobile app please make sure all employees scanning plants send the destroys off the device. If they close the app before the destroys are sent off the device, the destroys will not be logged and they will need to be rescanned.
If you are an Employee or Manager user role and just sent destroys off your device you can check with an Admin (Metrc) or Manager - Compliance to make sure the destroys were sent to Trym Explore as they will be visible in the Compliance Tab for those users.
I am receiving an error that the plant was already scanned when destroying plants in the Trym Mobile app
If a duplicate plant destroy is logged on the device you will need to click the "X" on the far right of the duplicate plant in the destroy list to remove it and you will be able to successfully send the destroys off the device. If you are unable to delete a duplicate plant please contact Trym support (support@trym.io)
How do I report Waste for Plant Destroys?
In the Destroy option for plants in Trym there will be a waste weight, reason and note required for METRC integrated facilities. If your state does not have those options for immature plant destroys you can use the Waste Log in Trym to achieve this waste reporting for immature plant destroys.
