This article describes how to use your mobile device (iOS / Android) to destroy flowering plants and record their waste weight.

Prerequisites

• Download the Trym Grow app on iOS or Android

  • Ensure you are running the latest version from the app store.

• If using Bluetooth Adapter to automatically send weight from Ohaus scale to mobile device:

  • Must have set up your bluetooth adapter

  • Must have set your scale to auto-print

  • Must connect to scale via bluetooth

Instructions

1. Place your first plant on the scale

2. Open the Trym app on your iOS or Android device and sign in if needed

3. Tap the menu button in the top left corner. tap on Tag Scanner and scan the the tag

4. Tap the Destroy option at the top of the screen

5. Enter the destruction details

   • Weight (Grams)

     • Automatic if connected to bluetooth. Manual if disconnected from bluetooth.

   • Destroy Date

     • Automatically today's date, editable.

   • METRC ID

     • The METRC ID of the tag you scanned for validation

   • Cultivar

     • The strain of the tag per Trym

   • Waste Method

     • Waste-Hauler: Private or municipal service collects the waste

     • Self-Hauler: You haul it down to a dump or other authorized waste disposal site

     • Compost: You compost your organic material

   • Waste Reason

     • These are generated by METRC and Trym has no control over the reasons. Pick the reason as specified by your compliance manager.

       • The name of the employee performing the destruction or disposal

     • Defaults to none, update if you mix any material with your waste.

6. Tap Next Plant to add another plant, place the next plant on the scale and scan the tag

7. Observe that only the weight is needed, the rest of the fields are completed based on the previous plant.

9. Tap Review Destroy when you're done destroying plants and review the data for any errors that may have occurred, use the ... menu to make individual corrections

10. Submit to Trym when ready
