Note About Moisture Loss
If you dried and processed your plants on-site (as opposed to, say, fresh frozen), when you finish your harvest you may be concerned that there is a lot of unpackaged weight left over. This unpackaged weight is considered moisture loss and is expected. Depending on your regional climate, drying environment, processing methods, and the particular cultivar, you can expect to end up with anywhere from 60% to 85% of your wet weight remaining when you finish your harvest.

Understanding When to Finish a Harvest
Per the California Department of Food and Agriculture regulations;
§ 8406. Track-and-Trace System Inventory Requirements.
"(b) Recording the net weight of all harvested cannabis once the majority of drying, trimming, and curing activities have been completed, or within sixty (60) calendar days from the initial harvest date, whichever is sooner;"
Translated practically, this means you have 60 days to report all weights against generated by your harvest. Any waste, and any packages of cannabis product must be recorded. Once all the weights have been recorded, the harvest must be finished and must happen within 60 days of the harvest date.
