What is a Growth Phase in Trym

Trym offers easy growth phase change options via the Phase button. When we refer to a Growth Phase, we refer to a specific stage in the lifecycle of a plant. Starting in the Immature phase and going through a Vegetative growth phase and finally the Flowering phase before harvest. The term phase is inter-changeable with promote as we often consider these growth phase changes, plant promotions.

Please note that phase changes to a tagged phase from an untagged phase can only be done in Trym Explore, while changing the growth phase of plants between tagged phases can be done in Trym Explore and in the Trym Mobile App.

Troubleshooting Growth Phase Changes

  • I received an error when reporting a growth phase of a plant batch change to METRC, what do I do?

Contacting Trym Support via the blue chat bubble in the lower right is the easiest way to get any compliance reporting error resolved, but it is also worth checking that the batch in METRC has all plants tagged if it's a phase from Veg to Flower. If it's a tagged promotion to Veg you may also want to verify that all plant tags assigned in Trym are available in METRC.

  • The tags assigned in Trym for a phase change to a tagged growth phase are not available in METRC.

We recommend only promoting plants in Trym to avoid any non-parity between METRC and Trym. When tags are also assigned in METRC and systems are out of sync you can get errors reporting those promotions to METRC. Keeping all plant actions in Trym will ensure for the best user experience.

  • I can't promote plants from an immature phase in the mobile app via the Mobile Tag scanner or RFID actions --> Audit/Phase.

Trym only offers plant batch promotions to a tagged phase from an untagged phase in the Trym Explore web based platform. You will not be able to assign plant tags in the mobile app at this time.

Best Practices for Growth Phase Changes

  • When changing phase from an untagged phase to a tagged phase, take special notice of which tags you are assigning to which plants, separate them from the rest of the available tags, and label them appropriately using a post-it or similar. We recommend having a supply of rubber bands to organize the tags when assigning in Trym so those groups of tags can them be administered to your team to put on plants.

  • Making sure all plant actions are made in Trym as opposed to METRC will ensure the best user experience possible. We call this staying on the happy path and it will make your life easier by making sure to stay on the happy path.
